Description :
"Fugaku Sanju-Rokkei" (Thirty-six Views of Mt.Fuji) Hongan-ji Temple, Asakusa in Edo. The roof-peak of the Honganji at the right. The novel composition in Hokusai's time with the close-up roof-line and the shape of distant Mt.Fuji correspond. Hokusai's love of people can be seen in the figures of the workmen on the temple-roof. These are the same type of figures which abound in his manga.
