Description :
From the magazine Bungei Kurabu Vol 11 No 9. The near-perfect state of this print suggests it was never inserted into a magazine. I suspect it was been sourced directly from the publisher and then tip-mounted into a kuchi-e album. It's very hard to find examples in such fine quality. Kuchi-e prints were foldout prints placed at the front of Japanese literary magazines in the 1890s to about 1910. This edition dates to that period.
