Notes: Strong baren swirls on the background and fine, cross-hatched, blind-stamped embossing on the gentleman's white robe. Specially commissioned by Shiota Takezo in San Francisco. It would seem as if few examples of this design were produced, as it is seldom seen and is scarce. "Yangban", literally, ''Two Orders'', were an elite class of civil and military government officials in Korea, principally during the Choson period (1392-1910)
