Description :
Hokuju depicts the horizon in the lower part of composition and draws clear shapes of clouds in the sky as seen in this print. His motifs in a composition including mountains or its ridge lines are represented in almost simple geometric shapes like triangles and quadrangles. The contrast between the orange and yellow colors of mountains on the right and deep blue of the water and sky create a imaginary space rather than an actual place.
