Description :

"Tokaido Meisho Hiza Kurige" (Famous Places of Tokaido; Shank's Mare) Station Mitsuke. This series depicts the scenes from the popular novel "Tokaido-chu Hiza Kurige" (Shank's Mare) by Jippensha Ikku. The adventures by the funny travellers, Mr.Yaji and Mr. Kita who single-handedly demolished all the inns along the Tokaido but were not even arrested. They are taking different directions at Mitsuke in this scene.
