Frontispiece illustration for the novel "Ryusui Ki" from the popular literary magazine, Bungei Kurabu Vol.6 No.15, which was aimed at largely female readers in Meiji - Taisho era. Here a beauty stand next to a room divider in the lower inset. A man is writing a letter on a long paper at a rocky shore on the background.
