the Heian period poet stands before a Shinto alter holding a manuscript, the cartouche with Ono no Komachi as an old woman peering at a crescent moon; signed Yôshû Chikanobu with artist's toshidama seal, engraver's seal Horiko Muneoka, publisher's information of Kobayashi Tetsujiro, and dated Meiji jukyunen Ichigatsu kyunichi (Meiji 19 [1886], first month, 9th day)
