Description :

Rare woodblock trial print of the watercolour genga (shita-e, or base sketch) (item #10903). I have not seen a production woodblock print of this scene so perhaps the publisher Uchida decided not to proceed with its publication. Red "Kame" artist seal at lower right, along with "亀十兵衛" (Tobei) artist signature. (1) This item is either untitled or the title is unknown. This item is from my personal collection and is not for sale.
