Description :

Hand painted on silk. Bone end rollers. Painted area is 41.3 x 118.2cm. I'm not yet sure who the artist Hosen is, but without a doubt he is one of the most talented Nihon-Ga scroll artists I've seen. His scenes are powerfully drawn and his attention to detail is unsurpassed. Take a look at the close-up image of the tiger's face below. Each and every hair is hand-drawn, and they cover the entire body of this tiger -- it must have taken Hosen days to complete it. I've seen several other scrolls by this artist and they are both equally as powerful and detailed as this scene. (1) This item is either untitled or the title is unknown. This item is from my personal collection and is not for sale.
