Description :
Offered for sale is a wonderful, pencil signed Japanese woodblock print by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995). It is titled Half Moon Bridge, and is dated 1941 in the margin in Japanese. This lovely arched bridge among the wisteria trees is a popular destination in Tokyo. Toshi Yoshida is the eldest son of Hiroshi Yoshida, one of the preeminent shin hanga school masters, and in the last few years since his death, has finally been achieving the recognition that bypassed him during his lifetime. This print is in very good condition, with no condition issues to note. The image measures approximately 6 5/8 by 9 5/8 inches, plus margins. Recently, many posthumous Toshi Yoshida designs have been offered for sale. This print is guaranteed to be a PENCIL SIGNED, lifetime edition, and therefore more valuable!
