Description :
Sagimusume (The Heron Maiden) by Kitano Tsunetomi. Genuine woodblock print. Later Showa era impression with Ito carver's seal and Uchigawa printer's seal in left margin. Large size measures 18.9 x 12.9 inches. Nice use of different colors of mica dust. Strong texture and ink bleedthrough. Snow flakes hand painted. Compare with image on page 87 of the book "The Female Image 20th Century Prints of Japanese Beauties".
