Tuesday, 20 January 2009 Japanese Block Print of Snow Capped Mount Fuji from the Outside Deck at Dusk - printed on Rice Paper - used as a Greeting Card 3-3/4" by 5-3/4" This is a wood block print of the Mountain with snow at dust. The vantage point is from a covered deck with a lite lantern and stars in the sky. The colors are bright and vivid and the block print is in perfect condition. There is a red artist mark in the bottom right hand corner. The print is attached to a greeting card or folded piece of paper. The inside of the card says "Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year". My Aunt received this greeting card from her friend Chizuko Tmai in 1949. This print was stored in the dark for over 60 years and has no flaws.
