Eight 1950-60’s Original Japanese Woodblock Prints by the famous artist, Tomikichiro Tokuriki with original covers and beautiful studio designed folder case: From the series, "The Eight Views of Japan". Artist’s chop and publisher seal. Published by Uchida Woodblock Printing Company in Kyoto. The 7 prints depict the talents of the artist Tokuriki . Each original woodblock print is either tipped or attached to a matte. Presentation folders measure 13 3/4” x 19”. Prints measure: 11" x 16" - Paper (full-sized margins) Provenance: Came from a single collector who purchased the entire collection while traveling in Kyoto in the 1960’s. The List of Prints included w/ condition report: 1. The Cherry Blossoms of Mt. Shigi in Nara Pref. ? Fine, except for tape on top margin and reverse toning 2. The Nikko-Toshogu in Tochigi Pref. ? Good, two small puncture holes 3. Katata Ukimido Temple in the Lake Biwa ? Very Fine 4. Ise Futami Bay in Mie Pref. - Very Fine 6. Kamakura Large Buddha in Kanagwa Pref. - Fine, except for toning on reverse from folder 7. Suwa Kintai Bridge at Iwakuni in Yamaguchi Pref. - Fine, except for tape on top margin 8. Kiyomizu Temple at Kyoto - Fine, except for tape on top margin and toning on reverse
