Sunday, 9 January 2011 Original Takeuchi Seiho (1864 - 1942) Japanese Woodblock Print Bulbs and Foliage Comments - Charming design of a cluster of bulbs with a green stalk and a tangle of roots growing from them. A single pale green leaf hovers delicately above the rest. Beautifully drawn with an energetic line and a lovely sense of balance. The background is covered with flecks of silver mica, adding a soft shimmer and an interesting texture. Artist - Takeuchi Seiho (1864 - 1942) Image Size - 20 1/4" x 14" Condition - Excellent with no issues to report.
