Wednesday, 16 August 2006 Path to Fuji by Kakei or Takahashi Shotei. Please see Shotei.com for Marc Kahn's excellent article on Kakei which he is certain is an early name for Shotei. This is print K-1. This is not the same print shown on the sight but another. This is a chuban size print, approx. 9 1/2" x 6 3/8" and probably very early; 1910-20s? This is a rare print but only in fair condition with even toning, some paper loses to the corners, a spot upper right and backed. It is sealed in the lower right corner.
