Tuesday, 10 June 2008 Original Y. Okazaki (20th century) Japanese Woodblock print Persimmon Tree in Winter Comments- Charming winter scene of a young child standing beneath a persimmon tree. The snowy landscape is beautifully rendered in soft shades of pale blue, rose, cream, and white. An interesting print with the foreground sharply contrasting with the background. A great choice for any modern collector. Artist- Y. Okazaki (20th century) Pencil signed by artist - in bottom margin Image size- 14" x 10" Condition- With excellent color and detail as shown. A few soiled areas, mostly in margins, not serious (see photo). Some light wrinkling. Nice overall.
