Triptych: Homing Geese Artist: Kunisada Format: Oban triptych: each sheet: 14.75" x 10.25" Subject: Prince Genji on the balcony of a tea-house is serenaded by a bijin on a passing pleasure craft on the Sumidagawa. Above them a flight of homing Geese. Publisher: Sanoki Date: 1840's Condition: Fine colors with rich oxidation on Genji's kimono. Very slightly trimmed. A stain to right of Genji. A repaired wormhole on each sheet. Minor soils, rubbing, creasing, marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impressions with gauffrage.
