Description :
This is an ORIGINAL watercolor by Takeuchi KEISHU , 1861 - 1942. The painting is done in a Western style technique common from 1890 to the late 1920's. It is also signed in Roman letters. There was a group of artists that were educated in Japan with Western teachers. As a result, their watercolors of that time period, Meiji and Taisho, reflected the times and their education from these teachers. The image size is approx : 6 1/2 " X 13 ". There is a small notch missing at the top and a small 1/8 spot at the bottom. It is not a fox spot. The overall condition is good to excellent without any other condition problems.
