Monday, 28 March 2005 Kuchi-e: Festive Makers for Hina Matsuri (Girls Festival) Artist: Takeuchi Keishu Format: Kuchi-e: 12.25" x 8.75" Subject: A woman holding a lacquer box with gold ornamentation and two men carrying various decorations to celebrate the Hina Mitsuri, such as flower arangements, dolls carrying a palanquin in which a Prince is sitting, and a barrel of Sake. This print was the frontispiece to a well-known magazine Bungei Club (Literature Club). Date: 1910 Condition: Full size. The usual two horizontal foldmarks. Minor soils, stains, marks and flaws. Generally good state. Colour: Fine colors. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage.
