Description :

From Dr Philip Fellman (Dec 2003): I have one other oddball piece which I'm curious if you have seen before. Mr. Mueller had several chuban Hasui which he said that Watanabe gave to important clients as Christmas gifts. I have an unsigned print which has been creped down to Chuban size but I honestly cannot tell whether it is Hasui or Koitsu. It looks like a prototype for Zojoji temple in snow. The angle is more like Hasui, but the treatment of the trees is more like Koitsu. I was wondering if you have seen this particular image before and might have some idea about its origins.
