Sunday, 16 August 2009 Note from Ross: A good example of the dishonesty that lurks within this field of art. Note the fake Watanabe seal in the lower left margin, and remember that this scene was published by Doi Sadaichi, not Watanabe. Because many examples of Doi prints exist without the Doi publisher seals, some fool has forged the pre-war Watanabe seal to try to sell this 1960s/70s strike at top dollar.
