Nanzenji Temple in Autumn, 1951 Kawase Hasui (1883 ? 1957) The beautiful temple structure with autumn colors after a rainfall. A small group passes through the temple gate, a stone lantern and the lovely gardens are just visible beyond. Wonderful example of ancient architecture and nature’s beauty. Signed- Kawase Hasui with red artist’s seal “sui” Sealed- Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks Image size- 9 ?” x 14 3/8” (oban tate-e) Condition- Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins
