Saturday, 27 October 2007 Guaranteed original Japanese woodblock print by the shin hanga school artist Kawase Hasui. Subject: Moonlit Night at Miyajima (Miyajima no Tsukiyo). Date: 1947. Publisher: Bears the round 6mm Watanabe seal indicating an early, original impression. Condition: Excellent color, impression, condition. Print measures 10" x 15.25". Print is in it's original Watanabe presentation mat. It is tipped to the mat along the left margin (towards center, corners are not attached). A great blue-toned (Azuri-e) design by the great artist.
