Early Morning at Okayama Castle, 1937 Kawase Hasui (1883 ? 1957) Early Morning at Okayama Castle The misty view of Okayama castle in the morning. Hasui’s shows the castle viewed from the other side of the moat through a stand of trees. This print has a beautiful shimmering feeling with the misty atmosphere and the choice of soft, pastel colors. Signed- Kawase Hasui with red artist’s seal “sui” Sealed- Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks Image size- 9 ?” x 14 3/8” (oban tate-e) Condition- Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins.
