Description :
This is an original first edition shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) titled "Asakusa Kannon in Snow", and dated Taisho 15 (1926). The print was published by Watanabe Shozaburo and bears the Watanabe "A" cartouche (1924-1930), making this print a first edition. The print is in fine condition. Excellent impression, color and registration. Very good bleedthrough. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not setdown or trimmed. Print size is 10.25" x 15.5"
