Description :
"INUBOZAKI CAPE" 1956 Description: One of Kasamatsu's most striking images ! This is a nightime seascape at the site of "Inubozaki Cape" ("Inubozaki"). The image is unusual in its use of bold use of color. The scene is masterfully printed with excellent "bokashi" shading and over-printed of the streaks of rain. Condition: This print is in pristine condition and comes from a group of prints held back in the publisher's stock until recently. It is likely a later mid-edition as it is printed on somewhat older paper. This print is in perfect condition - never been laid down, full margins, no tears, no folds, no creases, no foxing, no stains. The publisher is Unsodo as identified by the "gei watermark" in the lower left margin. The Carver / Printer is marked as Nagashima/Shinmi (identified in the seal). Image size 14 3/8" x 9 1/2".
