Sunday, 25 March 2007 Vintage Japanese Woodblock Print This lovely old woodblock is a beautiful scene of a snow-covered water mill and stream. It is minitature in size, only about 3.75" x 5.5" . It is very lightly attached at 2 points to a backing paper which has yellowed with age. (It can easily be removed.) The colors are more blue than my photo shows. The close-up of the signature is a closer representation of the lightest blue. I received this from a family friend in Japan when I was a child, which was in the 1950's.
