Saturday, 19 December 2009 The auction you are bidding on is for a Limited Edition woodblock print by well-known Japanese artist Shuzo Ikeda. The print is signed "Shu. Ikeda", numbered 6/100 and dated with a "67" in the lower margin. There is also some Japanese writing in the lower left margin. Print features a young girl in a white dress on a blue/green background. This print features the use of the wood texture for which Ikeda was known. Print area measures approx 11" x 16". Print is in good condition, paper has toned but the print colors are strong and bright. Back has notes for framing in lower margin and a name is written in the top margin on front and back, possibly the title of the piece but it is illegible. No tears or creases. All in all this is a beautiful Japanese woodblock print.
