Pride of Edo: # 2 Artist: Hiroshige II & Kunisada Format: Oban tate-e: 14" x 9.25" Subject: A young bijin with her daughter holding a tobacco pipe, looks back at two men in conversation, behind them Maple trees an autumn outside Kaianji Temple. Date: c. 1860 Condition: Fine colors. Slightly trimmed in margins and into image at right. Japanese album backing paper. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Very good impression with gauffrage.
