Tokaido Series by the Twin Brushes Artist: Hiroshige I & Kunisada Format: Oban tate-e: 14" x 9.5" Subject: In the foreground two actors in a pose, one holding an oar. In the background people crossing a large wooden bridge in a rain storm. Publisher: Maru-ya Kyushiro Date: c. 1850 Condition: Fine colors. Slightly trimmed. Album backing paper. Horizontal centrefold with small paper losses at edges. Slightly soiled and toned. Minor stains, marks and flaws. Generally quite good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage.
