Series of Honoured Courtesans: # 2 Artist: Chikanobu Format: Oban tate-e: 14" x 9.25" Subject: Fujimurasaki of Hashimoto-Ro leaving the tea-house accompanied by a woman from Nakanomachi who is holding a lantern for her. Publisher: Kobayashi Tetsujiro Date: 1883 Condition: Very slightly trimmed. Album backing paper. Light offsetting. A few light stains. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally good state. Colour: Fine colors. Impression: Very good impression with gauffrage, mica and burnishing.
