Friday, 11 November 2005 ARTIST: Chikanobu. FORMAT: Oban, Triptych. (14” x 28”). DATE: 1886. TITLE: The Lord of Mutsu Province visiting the Pleasure Quarters. DESCRIPTION: The Daimyo Yorikane being entertained by the courtesan Takao (or KO-o) when one of his retinue arrives with news. PUBLISHER: Hashimoto. CONDITION: Some trimming principally to right sheet, minor marks and flaws but generally very fine impression, colour and condition. Retains Japanese album backing
