Jidai Kagami: # 1 Artist: Chikanobu Format: Oban tate-e: 13.75" x 9.5" Subject: The bust portrait of a young bijin wearing a kimono, the collar decorated with Butterflies and Birds. Above in a cartouche a restaurant with the outside decorated with paper lanterns and banners. Publisher: Matsuki Heikichi Date: December 1896 Condition: Fine colors. Full size. Japanese album backing paper. A small stain above girls left eye. Minor marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage, silver pigment and lacquer.
