Thursday, 24 March 2005 ARTIST: Chikanobu. FORMAT: Oban, Triptych (14.5 by 28.5 ins). SERIES: Manners and Customs of Edo in 12 months. DATE: 1890. DESCRIPTION: New Year day. Comic duo visiting a family on the New Year’s Day. PUBLISHER: Yokoyama Ryohachi. CONDITION: A vertical fold mark to left and right sheets, minor marks and flaws but generally good impression, colour and condition. Retains Japanese album backing.
