Wednesday, 5 September 2007 Original Japanese woodblock print by Bakufu Ohno (1888 ? 1976) and published in 1951 by Kyoto Hana-in. Signed and sealed in the lower left corner of the print together with the publisher’s stamp in the lower right corner margin. This is one of four similar prints now at auction that depict four stages in rice growing. This on is titled “Rice Weeding” as titled on the web site of OHMI gallery that shows a large selection of Bakufu Ohno’s woodblock prints. DIMENSIONS: Sheet size11.375 x 16.125 inches. CONDITION: Very good; it is lightly glues at the top corners to a backing paper as issued; otherwise nearly pristine. Not laid down.
