Description :
A wonderful Japanese woodblock print. The paper size is 7 1/2 X 16 inches and a medium weight. I have others listed that are on a much lighter weight paper. The scene is very colorful and in great condition. I have no idea who the artist was. I don't know anything about this school of art. They were in a collection of my aunts that she had for years. It has two labels on the back that say "H. Takemura & Co 45 Sunchome Bentendori, Yokohama, Japan" and a pencil written title the says "Asakusa Temple" (I think. It is hard to read the writing). There are glue remenants on the upper corners where it was hinged in a mat years ago. There is some writing on the back on the top right hand corner. It is The number sign and then initials (#13 CCW) written in pencil and on the bottom between the two "H TAKEMURA & CO" labels is what appears to me as "Asakusa Temple".
