Description :

Ichimura Uzaemon IX appears in the role of Söshöbö disguised as Benkei, the chief retainer and personal friend of Minamoto Yoshitsune. It is from the 11th month kaomise (the ""face-showing"" ceremony of a theater) production of Meiwa 6 (1769), “Kumadori Ataka no Matsu,” presented at the Ichimura-za Theater.
