Description :
Woodblock print, oban tate-e. Urawa Station. The heavily tattooed fishseller Danshichi Kurobei empties a bucket of water over himself to clean off the mud and blood from the murder of Giheji, who lies on the ground behinf him. A drawn sword leans against a well-head and a festival crowd passes in the background (Inset: an uphill road).
