"Le P�re Tanguy". One of Vincent Van Gogh's master pieces. Various ukiyo-e, which Gogh had seen prior, were depicted on the background. From the 1860s, ukiyo-e, became a source of inspiration for many European impressionist painters. They were affected by the lack of perspective and shadow, the flat areas of strong colors.
