"Le P�re Tanguy " One of Vincent Van Gogh" master pieces. Various ukiyo-e, Gogh saw before, were depicted on the background. From the 1860s, ukiyo-e, became a source of inspiration for many European impressionist painters. They were affected by the lack of perspective and shadow, the flat areas of strong colors.
