Description :
"Sankai Mitate Sumo: Harima. Tatsuyama". Oushiko shrine and the "Ishi no Hoden" (Treasure Room of Stone). Mt. Ryu has been a local stone quarry for hundreds of years. The whole mountain consists of one gigantic boulder. Oushiko shrine enshrines a massive piece of stone which was apparently to be cut out and carried out from the mountain. But the stone still remains there inside the cradle of stony mountain. Over the years, trees grew on top, water accumulated underneath the stone. The stone; about 7m x 7m x 8m, 500 tons, looks like floating on the water surface and very imposing because one cannot see it from the distance. The mysterious stone is famous as one of The Three Strange Occurrences in Japan.
