Frontispiece illustration for the novel "Kata Uzura" in Bungei Kurabu magazine; vol.5, no.5. Bungei Kurabu was a popular literary magazine which was aimed at largely female readers in Meiji - Taisho era. Here a lady in a black coat is taking a walk by the sea. She turns around to see a man in the distance.
