"Chiyoda no Oh-oku; Otachinoki" (The Ladies of Chiyoda Palace) The Star Festival on July 7th. It cerebrates the yearly encounter of Vega (the weaver) and Altair (the herds boy) who are separated by the Milky Way the rest of the year. People write wishes and poems and string them on the decorated bamboo outside.
