Description :
"Tametomo Rescued by Tengus from Sanuki-no-in". This is one of the most spectacular and fascinating designs in the history of Ukiyo-e. It tells the story of warlord Tametomo, his wife and child. In this picture, they are attacked by a huge tiger shark emerged from the stormy ocean. Tametomo is saved by "tengu" (beings from the Japanese mythology - half bird, half human).
