Outside Castle of Kamakura at early dawn. Sagisaka Bannai, chief retainer to Moronao, reading the list of presents which Honzo has brought to appease the hostility of Moronao against Wakasa. Behind Bannai stand two of his followers, grasping the handles of their swords; on the left kneels Honzo & a servant.
