Description :
Akushichi-byoe Kagekiyo and Miho-no-ya Shiro Kunitoshi were redoubtable warriors, renowned for their prowess and strength, who met in one of the battles between the forces of the Genji and Heiki (otherwise known as the Minamoto and Taira). In the ensuing combat Kunitoshi's sword was broken. As Kunitoshi turned to flee, Kagekiyo grasped the shikoro (neck plate) of his helmet. The shikoro luckily tore off and Kunitoshi managed to escape.
