This is one of the prints from a series of supplements to the Complete Works of Chikamatsu pusblished around 1923. Chikamatsu Manzaemon, 1623-1724, was a famous playwright for the Kabuki and Bunraku theaters. Each design represents a character from one of the plays written by Chikamatsu Others in series Items 5289 and 5290
