Description :

Unusually intricate and colorful classic print of the legendary genre by one of the early ukiyo-e masters Watanabe no Tsuna was a 10th Century samurai loyal to Minamoto no Raiko, who is central to many heroic feats, including the defeat of the Ibaragi Oni, a cohort of the brigand leader Shunten Doji, at the Rashomon gate in Heian capital now known as Kyoto. He severed the arm of the demon, and though he was later tricked into returning it, but Ibaragi never returned to harrass people at the Gate again.
