Description :
A scene of apprentice geisha ('maiko') learning the ways of traditional Japanese dancing, in oban yoko-e format, by Takeji Asano. Black Takeji signature lower left. English and Japanese title in bottom margin. This print is a rare first edition, as indicated by the printing of the date at the left of the bottom margin. No subsequent editions have been published. In the left margin are Unsodo publisher's seal, Sugimoto printer's seal, and Mori carver's seal.
