Description :
Colour woodblock print, oban triptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actors Ichikawa Danjuro VII as Kiyomori (right sheet), Iwai Hanshiro V in an unspecified role, perhaps Osen (centre), and Nakamura Daikichi I as Tokiwa (left sheet), in the play 'Kiyomori eiga no utena' by Tsuruya Nanboku IV performed at the Kawarasaki-za in the 11th month of 1816.
